The enterprise history

Some years before the first five-year plan, a small soap factory with the symbolical name "Labour chemist" was set up in Kharkov. The manufacturing process started to develop successfully. In early thirties, trial lots of perfumery and cosmetics were produced at the factory. In 1934, the enterprise was finally formed as perfumery and cosmetic factory No. 2 "TEGE". In such a way, Kharkov perfumery and cosmetic factory was found.

In 1941, the main equipment was dismantled and evacuated to Ufa. During the period of occupation the factory was completely destroyed. Reconstruction works were begun in September, 1943.

In 1954, there was the rebirth of the factory: not only old blocks were restored, but also new ones were built, a proper perfumery laboratory was organized and there was a start to create the proper branded smells.

In sixties, owing to an increase in demand for cosmetic products, the manufacture of cosmetics, such as creams, lotions, dental elixirs, shampoos, was set up.

At the end of seventies, the complete retooling and modernization of tube manufacturing was realized, new in-line systems were put into operation.

The new tube-cosmetic block was put into operation in 1985.

In 1988, the factory was sonorously named as "Effect".

In 1992, Kharkov perfumery-cosmetic factory "Effect" became a joint-stock company.
